About this image: A dark and dramatic sunset somewhere along the Northern California coast — the sun centered low in the frame, a concentrated burst of warm yellow light radiating outward into an almost entirely dark sky. A thin band of land anchors the bottom of the image, just enough to place us on the earth before the sky takes over completely. A moment of accidental perfection where the light found its own way into the frame.
