About this image: A luminous red sphere fills the upper half of the frame, its reflection pooling below on a reflective surface — the two halves separated by a ring of dark that deepens the intensity of the color. Close, vivid, and near-symmetrical, it radiates with the dense energy of a dwarf star — a synthetic sun burning in its own small universe of red light.
